Feature Film – Cherry Hill

Currently in pre-production.  The following is the synopsis of the feature film.

(Based on the musical play From The Cross To The Throne)

Sarah Abrams a Caucasian with the heart of Mother Theresa, and Lynn Allen a strong willed Afro-American, have been friends since college. After Graduate School, Sarah and Lynn both worked for a State Institution for Orphans. For years they planned for the day when they would open a Foster Home of their own, with transitional housing that would make a difference in the lives of a seemingly forgotten segment of our youth, “teen orphans”. Their goal is to help prepare teen orphans for their place in the community. A home built on faith, love and respect for themselves and others. With the help of family, friends, town’s people, and a few civic-minded businessmen, they lease a run down farmhouse that sits on 300 acres of land. Through their hard work and determination they turn the farmhouse into their dream, “Cherry Hill Youth Home”. As they are preparing for their third year anniversary celebration, and the building of their transitional housing facilities, the home that has been a loving, peaceful environment that nurtures the hopes for a brighter future for twelve teenage orphans is suddenly challenged by it’s newest charge, a troubled youth, William “Blade” Garner, threatening the peace and harmony in the home.

Sarah and Lynn’s faith is further put to the test when the home’s future and the dream they share is jeopardized through a confrontation with their greedy, ambitious, landlord, Sam Goodwin. At the same time the Youth Home is planning to exercise its option to purchase the property, Sam Goodwin is offered millions of dollars for the property, and is not above using any means necessary to regain control of the property. Sarah and Lynn find themselves in a fight for the continued existence of Cherry Hill, and the future of their kids. During the course of what appears to be a hopeless situation, they discover the true character and strength of the family they’ve formed with the kids, proving that faith and determination can overcome all adversities, if you are willing to stand your ground. And having done all to stand. STAND!
